When hunting for visa applications online, you’ll want to start at the embassy or consulate website for the nation you’re visiting. Typically, you’ll fill out visa application forms online, print and mail them in, or hand deliver them to the nation’s local consulate.

Which country are you traveling to, and which Visa do you need?

Well, it depends on what you want to do in the country you are traveling to. Many countries have some travel permit and visa policies, application processes and procedures, restrictions and access, rules and regulations governing their issuance of visa or travel permit to nationals. while most countries require online application and waiting for response or approval before proceeding, most countries would prefer the applicant to appear in person.

So, here are the procedures for getting a visa to any country:

Step One

check to see if you need a visa to travel to that country. You can do this by conducting research, asking questions, go online mostly Google or Bing etc. and remember that even if the country permits you to visit without visa or permit, such permits are usually limited to certain activities and not on long term.

Step two
You can either apply online by downloading the visa application form for that country, filling it and submitting through the appropriate channel, optionally if available, filling the application online or Visit the country's embassy nearest to you to book appointment with the consulate. If you are lucky, you might be granted attention on your first visit. Step three
Wait for a reply after your application. It usually take sometimes depending on the country you are traveling to.

Step four
Go for interview: most countries will call you for an interview, and you should be prepared for questions related to the reason of your travel to that country.

Step five
If your application is accepted and you pass the test/interview, you may be required to wait for sometimes depending on the type of visa you applied for.

Step six
...and behold congratulations! your visa is ready for grab. Now you can travel.

What will it cost?

You'll usually have to send a money order or check along with your visa application. Typical visas range in cost from $50 to $200. For example, a Brazilian visa costs $160, and an Indian visa costs $76, barring additional fees.
